DENIM AND GARMENT REPAIR in San Francisco, CA

Hi, I'm Audrey, your denim and garment repair specialist helping keep beloved clothes in circulation and out of the landfill. Salvage Studio SF was born during the pandemic, and since, I've mended 3000+ jeans, sweaters, outdoor gear and special vintage and modern pieces in my downtown sewing studio in SF, California.
Email a description of what your garment is, the issue, a few photos which show location and scale of the problem areas, and if this would be a local drop off (SF) or mail in, to:hi@salvagestudiosf.com

How much will my repair cost?
All garments are unique, so prices can vary depending on the type of material, location of problem, and complexity of the garment’s construction. I provide quotes for each garment individually from your emailed photos. Most projects start at $35 and go up from there.
Where is Salvage Studio SF located?
Salvage Studio SF currently has two San Francisco local drop off locations, Downtown near Civic Center and in Cole Valley. You will receive a drop off booking link with your quote to book a drop off appointment, should you choose to proceed with your quoted repair. I also accept mail ins (instructions also provided with quote).
What's your lead time?
Estimated lead time is 2-4 weeks. If your project is smaller or relatively straight-forward, it'll be the lesser, if your project is more involved, multiple items or requires a special order part, it could be the greater. I cannot accommodate rush projects at this time.
Do you provide alterations?
Salvage Studio SF specializes in repair/mending only. Great indicators that your project is a candidate for repair is if something broke, ripped, tore, unraveled, has a hole, is becoming worn/thin or if you’re afraid the problem area might get worse if not addressed. I can definitely help with these!
If you're wanting to change the size or fit of a garment (ie making it shorter, tapered, more fitted to your specific measurement, etc) or create a new garment from scratch or a pattern, a tailor is more suited for this project.
Thanks for choosing repair!
